Practicing Mudras for Health and Wellness

Practicing mudras can be a great way to heal and nurture yourself. Mudras involve bringing the thumb together with the tip of one or more of your fingers. Each finger has a corresponding energy channel to the brain, and touching the thumb to the respective finger acts as a keyboard that inputs information to your mind/body computer.

Directing healing energy channels can help break through emotional insecurities, heal disorders in the nervous system, and restore physical health.

There are four mudras that are particularly helpful for healing and nurturing yourself: Gyan Mudra, Shuni Mudra, Surya Mudra, and Buddhi Mudra.

Gyan Mudra is a mudra that encourages knowledge and ability and is associated with the planet Jupiter.

Shuni Mudra stimulates patience and discernment and is associated with the planet Saturn.

Surya Mudra is a mudra that revitalizes the nervous system and is associated with the Sun and Uranus.

Buddhi Mudra encourages the capacity to communicate clearly and intuitively and is associated with the planet Mercury.

Mudras are an ancient practice that can help to heal and nurture yourself. By bringing the thumb together with the tip of one or more of your fingers, you can direct healing energy channels to the brain and the body, helping to break through emotional insecurities, heal disorders in the nervous system, and restore physical health.

If you want to benefit from the healing power of mudras, try out one or more of these mudras for yourself. With a small amount of effort and discipline, you, too, can learn the potency of energy practices and feel the healing power of your hands.

Try it now and take the first step to better health and more confidence.

When Rest Became Medicine

Each of us arrives at rest carrying our own story, often shaped by striving, stress, and the quiet ache for relief. My rest story began in the chaos of launching a massive healing summit. But before you step into my experience, pause and ask yourself: What is your rest story? When did you notice that rest could be medicine?

What Remains When Fear Falls Away

When everything fell away, what remained wasn’t fear—it was freedom. I’m choosing to live from it.
