My Brain Feels Different

I said goodbye to David. He was returning to the US, and I was staying in Amsterdam with friends for another five days.
This sounds like an easy flip, but for me, in the past, this would have created massive anxiety and probably be an experience I’d say no to, not because I wouldn’t want to do it but because my mind would have presented all sorts of, “what if this happens” kind of fear before I even began.
But something has shifted for me recently. There is an urge to free myself from this kind of restrictive thinking and spread my wings in a way that hasn’t been accessible before.
My brain feels different.
Can you relate to this? My life was getting smaller until I started on this dedicated path of self-healing and discovery, I hadn’t realized how fear was shrinking my life.
As we venture through life’s ups and downs, many of us experience feelings of anxiety, fear, and self-doubt. These negative patterns get deeply ingrained in our brains, making it challenging to break free from them.

In my case, I felt their discomfort and tried everything to avoid the feelings and sensations they brought up.

What I didn’t know then was that every time I tried to numb those feelings, I was strengthening this negative response in my brain.
My life changed profoundly when I began to get curious about how my brain works and what I could do to help it heal.
Wherever you are on your healing path, I want you to know that this kind of change can happen more simply than you ever believed possible. There is no magic other than a commitment to change that can occur far more simply than you’ve been told.
Neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections—can help us reshape our thoughts and behaviors.
Committing to a daily practice of self-reflection through meditation, breath work, or anything that brings you back to yourself with the intention of self-healing can actively change your brain’s neural pathways. I have witnessed a shift in my mental landscape as I embrace these self-care rituals.
Old anxiety and fear patterns are gradually replaced with feelings of calm, clarity, and courage.
If this sounds like something you’d like to experience, now is the time to take that first step towards transforming your brain and life. Challenge yourself to break free from old patterns of anxiety and fear, and open yourself up to a world of possibilities and growth. Explore new self-care rituals, try different mindfulness techniques, and seek out the support you need to begin this path of renewal and vitality.

You have the power to reshape your thoughts and behaviors and create a life filled with calm, clarity, and courage. As we journey towards self-improvement and growth, let us embrace the power of neuroplasticity and the endless possibilities it holds for our minds and hearts.

If you need support, guidance, and accountability, I can help you with that. If you’re ready to move away from limiting beliefs, negative self-talk, and toxic behaviors preventing you from living your best life,  this work is for you.  Allow it to bring you back home to your beautiful self.
