Bali, Still a Dream

This was the week I was supposed to be on a plane.

For months, I had been holding the image of it, our circle of women, bags packed and hearts open, heading somewhere warm and sacred and far from their everyday lives. Bali.
I have been saying that word to myself for years. It sounds like a breath. Like a beginning.

And then, a few weeks ago, the universe got very clear with me.

David and I, and all of our participants, were routing through Dubai or Qatar, the most direct paths from the East Coast. But the Middle East is in the grip of something unimaginable. Lives being lost. Entire worlds are being upended.
And while our small travel complication is nothing alongside that magnitude of suffering, the skies we needed to cross have become dangerous, and the message was clear.
So I listened. We all did. And we let this year’s journey go with a quiet knowing that something better was being arranged, even if we couldn’t see it yet.

And here is the blessing.

The airlines refunded every fare without penalty. Floating Leaf Eco Resort, the extraordinary sanctuary in the rice paddies I had chosen as our home for nine days, honored our investment entirely, held our place, and agreed to carry us forward at the same 2026 rates. Not because they had to. Because some places understand that kindness is also a practice.

When the universe reroutes you and then wraps it in that kind of grace, you stop questioning the detour.

Bali has called to me for a long time, not loudly, but persistently. Something about the way the Balinese weave the sacred into the most ordinary moments of their days. Offerings at doorways. Flowers on street corners. Beauty folded into the everyday, not saved for special occasions. Rest and presence not as the pause before the real work, but as the work itself.

Of course, this is where I want to bring women who are ready to put down the heaviness of their lives and come to themselves.

Our new dates are April 22–30, 2027. And this time, we fly west – across the continent, over the Pacific, through skies that feel open and unhurried. The long way around turns out to be the right way. Which, now that I think about it, is a metaphor I’ll be sitting with for a while.

I have eight additional spaces open for this journey (as everyone who was signed up to go this year will join us next year). Women ready to step away from the ordinary demands of their lives and arrive somewhere that asks nothing of them except their presence.

If something in you is whispering yes inside, listen and please join us.

Bali is still a dream, but the kind with staying power. The kind that doesn’t dissolve when you open your eyes. I have made room. The dates are set. The resort is waiting.

The only question is whether you’re coming with me.

Reach out, I would love to tell you everything.

From my corner, Sarah
