This month’s theme carries the energy of unconditional love, balance, empathy, grace, and healing. Think of this month as a big energy healing session! Now that some things have been cleared up and cleaned out, a really good reset can take place. With healing work sometimes it can look like nothing is happening from the outside, and then one day you wake up and notice that something is better and it has all worked out. By the end of June, some major shifts will have taken place in your life, and to help you with that, here is a prayer from the book Prayers to the Seven Sacred Flames:
“I live within the Light and I love within the Light. I laugh within the Light. I AM sustained and nourished by the Light. I joyously serve the Light, for I AM Light, I AM Light, I AM Light. I AM that I AM in all that I do!”
June offers you the chance to reconnect to yourself in ways that previously have been difficult. Look at how sacrifices of the past have served you and how they are serving you now. Be sure to work on denser energy clearing so that the new upgrades can be sustained long-term.
June energy finds Pluto, Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus still in retrograde. Venus retrograde comes to a close on June 25th while staying in post shadow until July 29th. On June 2nd pre-shadow Mercury Retrograde begins, and on June 17th Mercury Retrograde officially starts and ends on July 12th. This month also offers a moment to truly turn the light switch fully on. Do you take the chance?
Here are some other important things to be on the lookout for this month:
- June 5th – Full Moon in Sagittarius. The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be fully illuminated. This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Strawberry Moon because it signaled the time of year to gather ripening fruit. It also coincides with the peak of the strawberry harvesting season. This Moon has also been known as the Rose Moon and the Honey Moon. With this Moon Spirit is saying that your Sacral Chakra area will be highlighted and you will be releasing things from this area that are no longer part of your path. You may find yourself feeling more full with this Full Moon and you may even experience water retention, so be sure to drink extra water and think about adding some orange to your water.
- June 5th – Penumbral Lunar Eclipse. A penumbral lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes through the Earth’s partial shadow, or penumbra. During this type of eclipse the Moon will darken slightly but not completely. The eclipse will be visible throughout most of Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, the Indian Ocean, and Australia. Even if you are not able to see it where you are, you will still feel it.
- June 20th – Summer Solstice. The Summer Solstice occurs at 5:43 pm EST. The North Pole of the Earth will be tilted toward the Sun, which will have reached its northernmost position in the sky and will be directly over the Tropic of Cancer at 23.44 degrees north latitude. This is the first day of summer (Summer Solstice) in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of winter (Winter Solstice) in the Southern Hemisphere. Here’s information on how you can celebrate the Summer Solstice.
- June 21th – New Moon in Cancer and Annual Solar Eclipse. The Moon will be located on the same side of the Earth as the Sun and will not be visible in the night sky. This is the best time of the month to observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters because there is no moonlight to interfere. This is a powerful New Moon and will happen on the same day as the Annular Solar Eclipse, so it will be extra powerful and a prime time for balancing masculine and feminine energies. An annular solar eclipse occurs when the Moon is too far away from the Earth to completely cover the Sun. This results in a ring of light around the darkened Moon. The Sun’s corona is not visible during an annular eclipse. The path of the eclipse will begin in central Africa and travel through Saudi Arabia, northern India, and southern China before ending in the Pacific Ocean. A partial eclipse will be visible throughout most of eastern Africa, the Middle East, and southern Asia. Although it won’t be visible in the United States and other areas in the Northern Hemisphere, we will surely feel the effects of this for months to come.
As this month unfolds, be sure to give yourself some extra self-care to ground your energy. Be mindful of what you are eating, drinking, watching, and listening to as you integrate these powerful energies. You may find taking a salt bath once a week to be incredibly helpful as well.
My work views all the elements of being a human—the physical, emotional, and mental—as deeply intertwined… It is from this whole-person perspective that we can best identify the underlying causes of our struggles and empower ourselves to heal.
