Joy is the Greatest Gift | ItThe holidays are a true test. We already live very full lives, and to put more activity, tradition, and memory into every moment, beyond the feelings that the holidays bring up for us, can put us over the top. When life is running full speed ahead, it is hard to take time to assess potential difficulties. Instead, what we often do is overreact to the emotions that cause bumps in the path of life.

Many of the suggestions in my Holiday Ease series this month may feel superfluous, but what you’ll find is that if you dedicate yourself to YOU, you will drop into a place in your heart that is far more capable of going with the flow. Instead of the bumps in the road, you will relate to the true joy of the flow.

I encourage you to make space in your life for your wants, needs, and desires. Tap into what makes your heart sing so you can chant a melody for all to hear, a happy message that truly represents what the holidays are all about.

Do you stop and notice how your body feels? I mean really notice? Or do you skim over the sensations because they feel too painful and disruptive? One of my greatest tools is the practice of EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique, more commonly known as tapping. I have used this technique for the last five years and have come to depend on it as an old friend. I use it to address everything in my life. It rapidly reduces anxiety, discomfort, and concern. It is a versatile technique that is easily memorized and serves you forever. I can’t say enough about what it has offered to my life overall. I truly believe that, if not for this technique and similar stress relieving tools, my life would look very different than it does today. Find out more through The Tapping Solution.

This holiday weekend my family did what we always do to celebrate: de-stress and have fun together, we dance. Below are a few of our favorite dance songs.

“You Can’t Always Get What you Want” by Rusted Root on Rusted Root

“Lose Myself” by Lauryn Hill on Surf’s Up

“Sweet Jane” by Cowboy Junkies on 200 More Miles

Amazing shifts occur when you experience different breath patterns. I recently started the Breath of 10 Meditation. Give it a try and see what treasures it hold for your life through the Kundalini resource 3H0: Breath of Ten Meditation to Become Dis-Ease Free
