It is natural to feel fear, dread, and helplessness when events happen that rock our world. So much emotion shows up: anger, frustration, regret, dread for the future. Whatever it is, it’s not what we planned, and releasing the agenda of how we wanted it to be is a huge leap of faith.

For me, surrender and faith are my go-to’s in unexpected times. This is when I am closest to my Spirit’s call. It is that trust in something greater than what our brains can muster up that we unlock our potential to ride waves of uncertainty.

Vulnerability, as fragile as it makes us feel, is an open state in which we can make new choices. Our power and positivity depend on this open state, for it is in that place of surrender that we are primed for learning new ways of being.

We are all feeling vulnerable right now. Recognizing that is so important, but it doesn’t mean we have to live in a place of fear.

When I feel fear hit me, I strive to meet it eye to eye and listen to what it delivers. Then I come to the present moment, where life feels infinitely more safe and secure.

Nature is a place that supplies me with present moment energy, which is why this meditation is one I practice in scary times. Well Being Tree Meditation

Only you have the ability to understand what impact these uncertain times will have on you. Listen deeply to what comes up, and that will guide you to great self-learning.

Now more than ever is the time to create a simple daily practice, one that feels doable, not overwhelming. Start somewhere, and do something that fills you with happiness daily. I’d love to hear what it is. Share with us so we can all be inspired.

May we band together in promise and prayer that we as a world will heed the call for healing.

Enjoy the open spaces. Peace, peace, peace.
