This month is all about the completion of a full cycle and regeneration of higher consciousness.
It surely feels the whole year has carried those themes, but this month we will use our inner strength to prepare for the energy of the new year. There is a reason people believe miracles can happen during this time of year. I personally experienced a miracle years ago on the Winter Solstice, so I am here to invite you to be open to receive what the Universe has in store for you and not be afraid of the unknown.
Looking back to this time last year, we had no idea what we were about to face.
It may take you a while, but eventually, when you look back at 2020 you will see that you experienced the biggest transformation of your life thus far. What we don’t know is ahead of us. The future may hold some could-be-better moments, but it very likely will also hold some really great things.
Take a deep breath, and with the exhale release any fear, tension, anxiety, or struggle you faced this past year or fear for next year.
Do this often this month. Even though new beginnings can bring new challenges, with the help of the Divine we have sunshine and gorgeous light ahead of us, so embrace it and embrace the change that is coming.
This month Uranus is in retrograde until January 2021 and, finally, Chiron is in retrograde until December 12th.
Post-shadow periods of Saturn and Pluto retrogrades have also shifted out. This is a month when all that has been transforming on the inside of us starts to come to the surface and we begin to see the transformation to the butterfly taking shape.
Here are some other important things to be on the lookout for this month:
December 13th–14th—Geminids Meteor Shower: The Geminids is the king of the meteor showers. It is considered by many to be the best shower in the heavens, producing up to 120 multicolored meteors per hour at its peak. The shower runs annually from December 7th–17th. It peaks this year on the night of the 13th and the morning of the 14th. The morning of the 15th could also be nearly as active this year. The nearly New Moon will ensure dark skies for what should be an excellent show. The best viewing will be from a dark location after midnight. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Gemini but can appear anywhere in the sky.
December 14th—New Moon and Total Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius: The Moon will be located on the same side of the Earth as the Sun and will not be visible in the night sky. A total solar eclipse occurs when the Moon completely blocks the Sun, revealing the Sun’s beautiful outer atmosphere known as the corona. The path of totality will only be visible in parts of southern Chile and southern Argentina. A partial eclipse will be visible in most parts of southern South America, the southeastern Pacific Ocean, and the southern Atlantic Ocean. Even if you don’t see the Moon and the Eclipse, you will surely feel them. Being in the sign of Sagittarius, this is going to bring fire and a revised passion for whatever areas you may have Sagittarius in your Natal Chart.
December 21st—Winter Solstice and Rare Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn: This is a special day when the light comes back to the Earth, truly a day of magic and miracles. This is the first day of winter (winter solstice) in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of summer (summer solstice) in the Southern Hemisphere. To make this day even more magical, a conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn will take place. This rare event is known as a great conjunction. The last great conjunction occurred in the year 2000. The planets will be so close that they will appear to make a bright double planet. Look to the west just after sunset for this impressive and rare planetary pair.
December 21st–22nd—Ursids Meteor Shower: The Ursids is a minor meteor shower producing about 5 to 10 meteors per hour. The shower runs annually from December 17th–25th. It peaks this year on the night of the 21st and morning of the 22nd. The first quarter Moon should set just after midnight, leaving dark skies for what could be a good show. The best viewing will be just after midnight from a dark location far away from city lights. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Ursa Minor, but can appear anywhere in the sky.
December 30th—Full Moon in Cancer: This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Cold Moon because this is the time of year when the cold winter air settles in and the nights become long and dark. This Moon has also been known as the Long Nights Moon and the Moon Before Yule. Being in the water sign of Cancer and so close to the end of the year, you may be feeling your emotions strongly. This is the most auspicious time to release anything from this year that is no longer serving your greatest good and allow yourself to make room for new beginnings.
This month make sure to find little moments to balance your mind, body, and soul whenever you can. Do some extra meditation and hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Even though it may be chilly where you are, spend time connecting with nature and the Glories of the Universe.
My work views all the elements of being a human—the physical, emotional, and mental—as deeply intertwined… It is from this whole-person perspective that we can best identify the underlying causes of our struggles and empower ourselves to heal.
There are many ways I can help you no matter where you are on your life’s path. Let’s start with my books and the membership program.
