Welcome, May!

This month’s moon and astrological message carries the energy of change, learning life lessons through experiences, positive life choices, decisions, and expansion! If last month threw you a Divine Curve Ball, this month you will begin to see more of the new that is entering your life for your greatest good. Spirit tells me that May is a month when you can get in alignment with the Higher Dimensions and start to live your best potential. Spend some time getting very clear on your dreams and desires, and try to keep your mind and heart open as you are led on the greatest journey you can ever take.

May brings in more changes with the beginning of many planetary retrogrades, with Pluto already being in retrograde and Jupiter, Saturn and Venus all joining the retrograde party this month! I know what you are thinking, but by the end of these retrograde, more things will be in place, especially with Venus retrograding with the North Node of Destiny. This will align us all deeper with our Destined Path.

Here are some other important things to be on the lookout for this month:

May 4th–5th
Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower: The Eta Aquarids is an above average shower, capable of producing up to 60 meteors per hour at its peak. Most of the activity is seen in the Southern Hemisphere. In the Northern Hemisphere, the rate can reach about 30 meteors per hour. It is produced by dust particles left behind by comet Halley, which was known and observed since ancient times. The shower runs annually from April 19th to May 28th. It peaks this year on the night of the 4th and morning of the 5th. The nearly Full Moon will be a problem this year, blocking out all but the brightest meteors. But if you are patient, you should still be able to catch a few good ones. The best viewing will be from a dark location after midnight. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Aquarius but can appear anywhere in the sky.

May 7th
Full Moon, Supermoon in Scorpio: This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Flower Moon because this was the time of year when spring flowers appeared in abundance. This Moon has also been known as the Corn Planting Moon and the Milk Moon. This is also the last of four Supermoons for 2020. This Full Moon will be sure to draw out some emotions that are ready to be released and healed that may have been hidden from you.

May 22
New Moon in Gemini: The Moon will be located on the same side of the Earth as the Sun and will not be visible in the night sky. This is the best time of the month to observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters because there is no moonlight to interfere. Spirit says this New Moon will allow you to also see new perspectives and new perceptions in your life that will continue to guide you on your path.

May 23rd
Comet Atlas: Newly discovered comet Atlas will make its closest approach to Earth at a distance of 72 million miles. In the months following this close approach, the comet is expected to brighten. This could potentially make it the second brightest object in the night sky after the Moon.

2020 has been filled with much unpredictability, but as a collective, we are all moving into new beginnings in our own ways. Even though up to this point we may feel like life has been on the extra wash spin cycle before you know it the washing machine will stop and the next chapter of life will start fresh. No matter what you may be going through, try to remember that new horizons are on the way.

Stay Inspired
