Kindness Tour

Two weeks ago we got a call from our daughter Alexa in Los Angeles telling us that she had the opportunity of a lifetime. She had been asked to work for a tour, across the country, to spread kindness.  Teague Egan the founder of Kindness 365  http://www.kindnessisfree.com/bekind.php. was inspired to do this tour after taking a bike ride last year from Boston to Miami in support of a cure for paralysis.

Alexa took the job and this weekend on Cape Cod we had the pleasure and honor of hosting this amazing group of young people. The tour will visit every state in our country this year, including Hawaii and Alaska. Their primary mission, to spread random acts of kindness to those in need without asking for anything in return. This beautiful gesture of paying it forward resonated deeply for me. How easy it is in our fast-paced modern lives to forget how the smallest act of kindness, compassion, and generosity heal our world.

This project will come with challenges and opportunities as this group of people will live together on this bus for the year. Kindness always starts with being kind to oneself first and once that is secured there are boundless possibilities for spreading love.DSCF9981 (1)

I genuinely appreciate the commitment of time, effort, and money that this tour embodies. Kindness can not be an oversight. When we believe in the power of kind acts our world will shift. These times demand a strong discipline of love to heal. Follow this tour on social media #Kindness365 or visit the crew when they arrive in your state, as they do this work that is so desperately needed.
