Snapshot Meditations

Visuals have always held a huge meaning in my life. There are times when I cannot put words to an inspiration, emotion or realization. Photography has helped me express those deep sentiments. I carry my camera with me as often as I remember, to capture the messages of my heart. My wish is that they may touch a sweet place in your heart too.

Cairn | Sarah Brassard
When doubt creeps in, I grab it before it has a chance to make me scared. I support my outer world experience in a way that exemplifies faith in something far greater than myself.

Fall Foliage | Sarah Brassard

“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”
― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

Cairn on Bench | Sarah Brassard
In many parts of the world, cairns are used as markers on trails and mountaintops to guide travelers towards their destination. In my life, I also use them as guidance tools. They guide my prayers and intentions out to the world, helping them arrive just where they are needed most.

Sarah and the Super Moon | Sarah Brassard

“At the beach life is different. Day moves not from hour to hour, but leaps from mood to moment. We go with the currents, plan around the tides and follow the sun.”
– Sandy Gingras, How to Live at the Beach

Tandem Bike | Sarah Brassard

Learning to ride a tandem bike was a wild and intimidating dream for my husband and me. We decided to go for it, trained hard, and now it is one of our favorite pastimes. Celebrate your courage. Champion that adventurous spirit in you that longs to let go of the restrictions of fear.

Flower Buds | Sarah Brassard“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud
was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
– Anaïs Nin

Open Gate | Sarah Brassard

On my walk, this gate appeared with young, hopeful grass all around it. Just a week ago, this gate looked so gloomy surrounded by brown grass and gray skies. Now a week later it’s a scene to behold. Give yourself some time that’s all yours, and watch what happens in just a week.
