My book, Inside-  A Guide to The Resources Within, is finished. The final edits are in; all images are approved and the last precious details of this book finalized.  My team and I signed off on it at the beginning of December, and we were in the process of getting the book on Amazon when we heard through my editor that her literary agents were interested in reading it. Not knowing much about the publishing process, I didn’t know what an exceptional opportunity this was. After spending three years writing, researching and talking about this project I was ready to launch it and questioned waiting any longer. I reached out to my seasoned author friends for advice. I soon understood that this was the chance of a lifetime. Getting picked up by an agent offers the book a network of possibilities that self-publishing does not. So, I put the brakes on and made the decision to wait to hear back from the agency.  They called soon after to let me know they loved the book and would like to represent it.

It has taken some time for me to process this good fortune.  I have had a solitary relationship with this book for a long time. It has journeyed with me through, two moves, the loss of three dear friends and all the events of everyday life that show up in that amount of time.

As fortunate and excited as I am to move ahead, I have noticed myself a bit resistant in letting the book go. Once again, my book is teaching me something about myself. It has done for me what I hope it does for others. It has given me an objective view of my life and the chance to step back from all the busyness and notice, how I arrive in the moment, the day, and in the dream.

Now, I set course on a new route that is guided by faith and belief in how this book will serve the greater good. As personal as this project has been, it no longer belongs to me. This is how dreams are; they start as something alive in you, and if you have the courage and strength to support them, they will blossom.

I write this post in gratitude to all of you, my devoted audience. Your patience, support, and encouragement have been the beacon of faith this book has needed to achieve its full potential. We will wait a bit longer for it to be published, stay tuned for all the excitement 2017 brings.

I wish you peace in this season of love, light, and reflection.

Merry Christmas!
