This week marks a halfway point for your practice, congratulations! If you have been able to sustain a consecutive practice, you most likely have had a lot of thoughts and feelings arise. This is one of the many goals of a meditation practice. As these thoughts and feelings bubble to the surface, we allow parts of our consciousness the time and space to release and experiences emotions that may have been hidden from our view. This is a valuable healing tool.
Another useful tool to cultivate is that of noticing. When we have the ability to view ourselves from the outside in, we can see things, not from a judgemental perspective but from that of a cooperative observer.
This week bring this awareness to the forefront. Notice things in your life that have always been there do they look and feel different than they have before you started your 40-day meditation practice?
Here is one of my blogs which speaks to the shifts I experienced when I first started meditating, enjoy! http://sarahbrassard.com/notice/
